I may have been the only 20 year old to constantly browse through every single issue of Country Living. There was something so captivating about the charm and making the old new. I’ve loved flea markets for as long as I can remember and antiques are my jam, I especially love the ones that aren’t worth much to others, because I get them for a steal and can make them my own. As a story teller, I love the stories of old things and like to imagine the background of each piece. All this being said, WE ARE MOVING! What? I know, it wasn’t exactly planned (let’s be honest, we are the worst planners on planet earth!) I’ve been browsing realty sites off and on for the last few months and when I stumbled upon our new house, I immediately set up a meeting to see it.

For a girl obsessed with charm and character who married a man who loves clean and modern, it’s the perfect marriage of our styles. It was built in 1913, a historic craftsman style home and on the river (hello, we need a boat.) The home had been run down, in rough shape, and was bought by an investor and taken down to the studs before being renovated. They left in the charm: the built ins, the original hardwoods, the stair well, the french doors, and then renovated everything else to new modern standards (granite, double sinks, a master suite, even a finished attic space!) We’ve been through the home four times and each time we’ve fallen a bit more in love with the idea of living there. That being said, our current home (that we really love) is listed for sale!

It’s a beautiful ranch style home in Johnson Creek, walking distance to the new school being built! Immaculate 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the desirable Tanner Ridge subdivision! Our home has been featured on some pretty large lifestyle blogs including: The Everygirl and The Nest. It’s a wonderful open concept with a giant living room and cathedral ceilings, a cook’s kitchen, and a huge master suite (with a closet we will really miss!) Brand new landscaping complete and fun aesthetic upgrades from a subway tile backsplash in the kitchen to beadboad in the bathrooms! We absolutely love the white and bright space and it would be a perfect place for a growing family or an older couple who desire a ranch! While we will be devastated to leave our neighborhood (and amazing neighbors) we are excited for the next chapter of life that will look like a coffee shop in walking distance, boat rides in the summer, and making our new house a home!
